Most Disliked

With great popularity comes waits; some customers express frustration at the busy periods, especially on Sundays.

Limited dining space pushes many to enjoy their meals outside, which occasionally means dealing with aggressive seagulls.

A lack of gluten-free options excludes some diners, making it critical to check in advance if dietary restrictions apply.

On particularly busy days, food may take longer than expected to prepare, testing the patience of hungry visitors.

Very fresh and tasty fish and chips. They are extremely busy so you have sure everything is fresh and prepared today. Fish size is huge even you choose standard one. No space to eat, everyone is sitting all around so be careful with aggressive seagulls.

If you go to Folkstone this is a must for fish and chips. We visited on a cold Tuesday and were met with a warm welcome from the staff. We had the offer of the day Haddock and chips with curry sauce. This did mean a little wait as it was cooked fresh to order but was worth every second. The fish was fresh white and moist with a smooth crisp batter. The chips were great as was the curry sauce. To say how good it was well I live in Shropshire and I woud drive down just for these fish and chips

Probably the best fish and chips I've ever had! Everything we ordered was hot, fresh and made to perfection - fish, chips, curry and tartare sauces. Service was prompt and friendly, and value for money was absolutely spot-on. I will be recommending Sandy's to friends and family who visit Folkestone.

Staggeringly good cod and chips. Incredibly pleasant and personable staff. Food cooked fresh while we waited. Best curry sauce I’ve ever tasted. They had one our favourite ciders in stock in cans and this is the cleanest, brightest, shiniest, nicest chip shop I’ve ever seen or been in. Cracking pickled eggs too. Thank you for completing our day out and making our evening. I look forward to coming back for another visit. Thank you and kindest regards.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Probably the best fish and chips in UK, been to many different fish and chips across UK and this was the crispiest and softest chippies I have ever had and the fish wasnt too oily but was super crispy and soft, batter not overcooked or overpowering either, perfect. Curry sauce is fresh too and different to others, tastes homemade here. The price is definitely worth it especially for the size you get, a regular fish and chips can feed 2 easy.
